This year I made two New Year’s resolutions:
#1 – Stop asking “why.”
#2 – Learn to love editing. Here’s what I had to say about that in a guest post for Melanie Noelle Bernard’s blog. . .

I love editing/revising. Maybe it’s my English teacher tendency. 🙂

You’re ahead of the game, my friend. Proofreading is my jam, but editing trips me up with its limitless possibilities.

I enjoy the editing process more than writing the first draft. The story is complete–now all I have to do is move things around, add this, take out that, fix mistakes and typos (among other things).
I’m currently working through my editor’s notes, and my own–revising, clarifying, even changing the protagonist’s POV from 3rd to 1st person. I’m having fun, but I have to admit, I’ll be happy when I’m completely finished. It seems as if I’ve been working on this manuscript forever. lol

It is nice having a draft to work with, like having clay to mold. Just out of curiosity, when you write novels are you mostly a plotter or a pantser?

Uh-oh… Pulled out plotter vs pantser! *puts on crash gear*
I’m not in love with editing or proof-reading yet. I have a bunch of first drafts that are finished and pending a rewrite, but I’m dragging my feet.
I’ve got a long way to go! Thanks for this post; good read.
