Hello, fellow book junkies! Happy New Year! ‘Tis the season, so I’ll get this out there. In putting together my goals for 2017, I’ve kept things simple and focused on what will give me joy and peace of mind. Here are my:
Goals for 2017.
- Finish writing & polishing YA dark modern fantasy manuscript by May 1, 2017.
- Read more YA books featuring bi females and write a blog post about them.
- Spend time with people. Nurture relationships.
- Walk every day.
- Keep going on Saturday morning hikes.
- Read 96 books.
- Devote more time to keeping the house looking nice.
- Never, never, never, never give up.

I love your goals – especially the last one. 😀

Thanks! It’s another great inspirational quote from Winston Churchill.

these are fantastic goals.. all of which I should set for myself and would probably fail at haha 😉 But I think nurturing relationships and never giving up and the best goals I have seen posted. Love them ❤

Relationships are the most important thing in life, but it’s so easy to neglect them. But this year I’m changing my tune–at least I’m going to try.

Absolutely! We tend to get so caught up in things it is easy to lose focus on others or not realize that we are neglecting them. I will follow suit with that goal!

I can’t wait for your book Eve! 🙂 And I like your walk every day goal. Sometimes I feel like I spend way too much time on the computer and I want to spend some of that time working out instead of watching another Youtube video.

Absolutely! I have got to find more ways to do things that don’t involve sitting on my badonkadonk.

Excellent goals!
I’m aiming for 85 books. Last year I made it to 100 (even though my goal was 80) but it was a push, and I want to give myself a little breathing room to do other things, like exercise and explore.

Exactly, I average 9-10 books a month, so I give myself a lighter goal to start the year with. Things are tough enough as it is without stressing ourselves out about how many books we read, right?

Good luck on your goals! If you need beta-readers for that YA dark modern fantasy, I’d be interested. ^_^

Simple and to the point! Love your list. 96 books would be such a feat for me. Hell, just 6 books can be a lot for me. lol I wish you well for all your goals! 🙂

It’s so nice of you to drop by. Happy new year to you, Tunisia. Like so many things, reading lots of books is about establishing a habit, I think.
