Emma @ Book Crunch was so nice to nominate me for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award (thanks for all the great YA book recommendations, Emma!), so I will do my best to come up with seven facts about myself.
First, the Rules. . .
Display the award on your blog.
Announce your win with a post.
Link the blogger who awarded you.
Present 6 deserving blogs with the award.
Link your awardees in the post and let them know of their being awarded.
Write seven interesting things about you.
Seven Facts About Me
- More times than I can count, when I’m out shopping in department stores, strangers approach me for assistance because they think I’m a store employee.
- Singing and dancing to impromptu made-up songs with my children is one of my favorite things in life.
- I’ve always secretly wanted to be a radio DJ. Last year I got to fulfill this wish with a guest-DJ stint on a major Los Angeles radio station.
- Unless I really respect the person in charge, I’m a bit of a rebel against authority.
- I’m definitely an introvert, but if you met me you’d probably think I was an extrovert, albeit an occasionally awkward one.
- This probably comes as no surprise, but reading, writing, and blogging about YA novels brings me immense joy.
- I am beyond excited to feature on my blog in February interviews with authors of (what I consider to be) the five must-read YA debut novels of 2016.
The six deserving blogs I’d now like to nominate for a Dragon’s Loyalty Blog Award are. . .hmmm, wait… it’s too hard to limit the list to six because I adore all seven of these fun, smart, loyal bloggers so much!
Beth @ betwixt-these-pages
Millie @ millieschmidt
Hannah @ hsduerloo and questtype
Joan @ fiddlerblue
Stefanie @ yourdaughtersbookshelf
Kelly Miles @ authorkellymiles
Jon Stephens @ Start Your Fiction

Thank you so much for the tag! I’m headed to do this ASAP!
Also, I love that you get confused for employees at department stores–you must just have that sort of “I’m here to help!” look about you that draws people in! And I’m sort of the same way in regards to my personality–I’m an introvert, but I definitely act more like an extrovert most of the time. XD

😀 It’s been posted up, you should be able to find it on my “About Me” page. I think that’s where I stuck it…

It sounds like you and I have a lot in common. I am an introvert but a bit of a rebel, when it comes to authority, and chatty and outgoing in many situations.

Yay, a fellow introvert in disguise. 🙂

Haha! You must just look like you know what you’re doing in the grocery store, Eve. ^.^ Not gonna lie. Resting bitch face comes in really helpful here. :p
Congrats on the award, Eve! ^.^

Melanie, I think you’re on to something. I’m not a big window shopper.

Haha! Me either. If I’m going to the store/mall, I know exactly what I’m getting and I leave as soon as I pick it up. (and after I pay :p)

An introvert with a secret love of DJing! I like that a lot. Will you have another chance on the radio? Fun learning these seven facts about you – never stop the signing or dancing! 😀

Oh my goodness, I can totally relate, because I get that all the time in bookstores (granted that might be because I’m carrying wayyy too many books or am crouched down trying to get something hidden away) Come to think of it, I also get asked for help in libraries… maybe the universe is sending me a sign :pI love that you sing and dance with your children- that’s lovely. Also looking forward to reading the interviews! Great post!

Oh that’s awesome that you were able to guest DJ. I always thought about doing an online radio show. I think it’d be fun and according to quite a few people, I have a “radio voice.” Not too sure about that but I’ll take the compliment. lol

That is too funny. I’ve been put on the air by DJs so many times, just when I’m calling to request a song. No joke, it’s probably happened six times in my life, and I don’t even call radio stations all that often.

Guest DJ? That’s cool! You must really think on your feet to be able to make small talk in between songs. I think I would be terrified!

Yes, I was totally nervous about that! Here’s what took the pressure off: I was able to 1) bring my best friend with me; 2) record the show in advance. Whew.
