- What is the most overrated author/book in your opinion?
Oh, I’m going to get into trouble with this one. John Green is genuinely talented, so I wouldn’t call him overrated, but maybe ‘overhyped’ is the word. There are so many brilliant YA authors and books being published that it seems out of balance for John Green’s novels to take up, depending on the month, 40%-60% of YA bestseller lists. Then again, not every author has a Hank Green. - What book are you currently reading/what are you going to read next?
Right now I’m reading Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore. Next up is either Magonia or The Diviners.
- Favorite place to read?
I love cuddling up with a book and reading in bed .
- Book character you would like to be best friends with?
Calaena from Throne of Glass, for sure, because she’s adventurous, funny, and loyal toward those she trusts. Her friendship with Princess Nehemia is one of my all-time faves.

You’re brave to do that, Amirhosein. The last time I stayed up late into the dark night reading a Stephen King book was with Pet Sematary, and the next morning there was a dead rabbit outside my bedroom window. Never again.

Twilight is one of those books I jumped on the crazy train for in the early years of worldly-obsession (my roommate made me!) I read it AT LEAST five times more immediately after that…and then did my Senior Seminar project for college on the series, as well!
It’s also, however, a book I recently re-read, and discovered a sort of disappointment with. It appears I no longer need it the way I once did. *shrug* I’d say if you want to read it, do. But if not, no big deal–there are so many other things to read!

I’m so glad you said that. Through all the movies, fangirling, and general hype I feel like I’ve absorbed all I want to from the Twilight series and don’t really have a desire to read the books. You’re right; there are SO many other books I’d rather read.

Yes. I imagine, especially now that the craze is “over” and done, it’d be hard to avoid spoilers/etc–it’s literally everywhere (or was, when the movies were being released). Stick to your guns–maybe you’ll find the next new craze before it happens!

I tried to read the twilight series this year for the first ,but I couldn’t go on with the series after I finish the first one. It took me about a month to read and put me in a reading slump after. I didn’t enjoy the story or the insta love.

Don’t be embarrassed about having NOT read Twilight. People should be embarrassed that they HAVE read Twilight. :p Thankfully, I’m not one of those people. Hee hee!
And I haven’t read any John Green books, but I always see the hype he gets. It’s like he’s the JKRowling of contemporary and frankly, her stardom kind of annoyed me. It was like: I’m so over her. It’s meant to be about the books and the characters, not necessarily the author. Does that make sense?
